Who We Are?

About Us

St Don Bosco Maasai Mara University Catholic Association (MMUCA) is an organization of Catholic Students and Staff within Maasai Mara University.Since it`s Formation MMUCA has continued to teach and enhance spiritual growth to MMUCA Members

Maasai Mara University Catholic Association (MMUCA) is lead by the Priest, The Patron, The Catechist and MMUCA Executive Members

MMUCA is made up various Organs which include:


  • MMUCA Ex-Officials (Priest,Patron and Catechist)
  • Chaplain

    Gives Holy Mass and Spiritual Guidance to MMUCA Members

    Gives Advice to MMUCA Members and Ensures the Association runs Smoothly

    Catechist

    Ensures MMUCA Members are Familiar with Catholic Doctrines and Prepares them to Baptism and Confirmation

  • Made Up of the the Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer,Organizing Secretary,Prayer Co-ordinator,Chief Editor and Sunday School Co-ordinator

  • The Choir (St Don Bosco Voices)
  • Led by their choir Master, St Don Bosco Voices Choir lead the church through songs, compose and train members their new songs

    St Don Bosco Voices Produced Volume 1 DVD titled "Mungu Katazama" in the year 2013 and Volume 2 titled "Ameenea Mfalme" in 2016.

  • Jumuiyas
  • MMUCA as a Church cannot reach to every member. The Church is divided into 5 small Christian Communities (Jumuiyas): St Thomas, St Paul, St Teresa, St Ignatius and St Augsitine

  • Altar Servers
  • The role of the altar servers is to assist the priest in the Celebration of the Liturgy during Mass

  • Catechumens
  • Led by the MMUCSA Catechist, Catechumens attend classes to understand the Knowledge of the Catechism and all the Doctrines of the Catholic Church.

    In addition, the Catechumens are prepared to Baptism and Confirmation

  • Liturgical Dancers
  • Lead by the MMUCSA Liturgical Dancers Coodinator, they dance and lead Prossesions during Holly Mass

    The Liturgical Dance Ministry have rehearsals each Thursday and Saturday in room B006. Kindly Call the Office for more information.
